Sick of doing the same job daily

Hi everyone...

Aren't you tired of doing the same job daily...?

I got too frustrated nowadays to getup in the evening (I'm working in the call centre now) and to work all night long that too in a call centre... OMG... I'm kinda feeling weird...

There are too many things we duplicate in our life. Every day we get up at the same time, eat same breakfast, walk on the same street. We take the same buses or trains, arrive at office at the same time, do almost same works say 'hello' to the same people. I know that we do have different and attractive things to do. But do you feel tired of doing such same things? Do you think they are redundant and a waste of time? And what's your everyday-must-do-work?

I used to travel by Electric Train to my office @ Nungambakkam at 9.45 in the Night and 7.00 in the Morning and I meet same persons in the train. Its been a practice now for about 4 months and I don't even receive a smile from them or even a kind of acknowledgment. They will be so busy in their work reading newspapers, mugging up books for their class tests, listening iPods etc... I feel completely weird and I'll be staring @ them as if I'm gonna kidnap.

My job in my office is to receive calls from the US customers regarding the product which our company promotes. I used to get a lot of phone calls and I'' sick of saying "Thank you for calling ----------, How may I help you..?". Call centers have a love/hate relationship with workers everywhere. People either love them, or they hate them; there is really no middle ground. Call centers have many pros, the best of which is that they can prove to be real cash cows. But call centers also have a dark side, the side that the customers would never guess by the cheerful, robotic voices on the other end of the line.

The psychology of an inbound call center customer is completely different from that of the face-to-face customer. The reason is simple. Over the phone, you are not really a person, you are just a voice. Therefore, customers feel more free to lash out in anger, curse, and make threats. When customer's can see your face, they are more prone to treat you like a human being.

I pray to god that I should get a decent job without getting harassment from the customers. May be I had to follow the same kind of routine like getting up early, having breakfast, rushing to catch Train, looking at the passengers in a weird manner, say hello to the same person in the office, but I'll be relieved from working in Nights and from receiving calls from the other end of the world.
