Andhra Pradesh Vs Telengana
THERE ARE two types of revolutions; one the real while the other being self claimed. Although both are called as revolutions, the two hardly belong to the same elevation. The Berlin wall collapsed without any political instigation. Russian revolution sprouted from the anguish of a common man not a political force. These were the public outcries against injustice and suppression.
Indian freedom struggle too belongs to the same genre.
But there are few moments, which are claimed to be revolutions by the initiators to gain political mileage. Telengana issue is one such. K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has attempted every possible gimmick to carve an image "Ultimate warrior of Telengana."
There might have been a need of separate state hence people of the region received him fairly well in the 2005 elections. But when separate state was his agenda, he should have rejected the cabinet positions that were offered to his party men.
Rather than being two separate entities, telangana and Andhra are two interdependent regions. If Andhra accounts for major food production, Telangana region is rich in minerals. Both the regions have Telugu as their main language. This is why telengana is no Jharkhand or Uttarakhand.
Further if Telengana is declared, the disputes over border would be endless.
Breaking the country into such smaller units increases regionalism in Indian politics. Further it is a multicrore task for the government and funds for the formation of so many states cannot be accommodating in the forthcoming budget. Although the claim for separate state is ridiculous, governments must understand the need to maintain uniform and sustained growth through out the state.
The big difference between a separate Telengana and other newly created states like Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Uttrakhand relates to the state capital. In the three earlier cases, the state capital remained with the original state. But Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, will go to Telengana. This horrifies coastal Andra's who claim to have created 90% of Hyderabad's wealth.
A compromise could be to make Hyderabad and the surrounding Rangareddy district a Union territory housing the capitals of both Telengana and residual Andhra Pradesh. This solution worked when Haryana was carved out of Punjab. However, politicians leading the movement are dying to lay their hands on the lucrative land of Hyderabad, and will never give up this golden goose from which they hope to get a thousand golden eggs.
There are lots of bandh happening all over Andhra Pradesh and the telengana laborers refuses to go to work and they do strike in front of assembly and their companies. What's this bandh and strike going to ripe them.. A New State.. What they are gonna do with a new state... The whole India is getting split into smaller parts like this and the Central Government has to face the problem later.
Before we think about all these lets hope that KCR's agitation will come to a peaceful end without violation of human rights and destruction of public properties.

Where is this life leading me to...?
I have a very uneasy feeling today that where is my life leading me to.
The school days which I had in St.Thomas M.H.S.S, Tuticorin was very much memorable and I am very pleased to have friends like that which I can't find one after that. My college days in P.S.R. Engineering College in Sivakasi is also memorable in a complete different manner. I had some good one too but I think about my college days, I will regret it for my life time. Why I chose this college in a very rural area where not even transport facilities were not good. Moreover, the rules followed by the college authorities were atrocious and unacceptable in the 21st century. It's like I've transported from 2003 to 1943. Bull****!!!!!!
After finishing my college, I joined in a private marketing consultation company which works for Vodafone-Essar and HDFC Bank - Credit Card Division. In fact, I had a very good time here in this office for about 7-8 months during which I came to know almost all parts of Chennai. We used to roam Chennai in bike, I still remember it's BAJAJ Pulsar which belongs to one of mu colleague, Ananth. I had my f***ing lifetime moments at that tine.
Since when I left that company, my life changed directions and I was not able to be in a company for more than 5 months straight even though all are call-centres based in US. First, I joined in a company called SLS (Softlogic Systems) which turned out to be a nightmare since it deals with out and out Hardcore Marketing. Actually, it was a good experience for me to speak with US people and understand their cultures. Then I moved to a company called Mouglesoft in Nungambakkam. The only benefit I got from this company is some good nice friends whom I will treasure for my lifetime.
Now I am working in QUEST LIFE SCIENCES, TAMBARAM which is actually belongs to my field, Clinical Research. I love working in this field and I am working for almost 11 months now and I fear that my life will go on like this in this company with very low salary. I do not want to end up in this company like this and I need to move on.
I am keeping my fingers crossed to see what life has for me in the future.. Hoping for the best to come...

Is "Makarajyothi" in Sabarimala man-made?
It is believed that in the olden days, forest-dwellers in and around Ponnambalamedu (a hill-top east of the Sannidhanam) used to celebrate the Makaravilakku festival at the hilltop. The lighting of a lamp at Ponnambalamedu on Makaravilakku day has become an annual affair even after the forest-dwellers vacating the place in later years.
According to the Tantri, the bright star ‘Makara' that appears on the horizon above the holy hillock of the Sabarimala Sannidhanam on ‘Makaravilakku' day is the ‘Makarajyothi,' and not the light lit at Ponnambalamedu as has been “publicised by certain quarters.”
Kummanam Rajashekharan, Hindu Aikayvedi general secretary, said Makarajyothi, whether it is man-made or not, has found adivine religious niche in the minds of every Ayyappa devotee. “Makarajyothi, and Ponnambalamedu which is considered as the original base of Sabarimala Temple, are realities and part of a strong religious belief. It was the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) that had constructed a cement platform at Ponnambalamedu, where the ancient Ayyappa shrine of the forest-dwellers stood, a few years ago on the basis of the prescriptions at an astrological consultation (devaprasnom) held at Sabarimala, earlier,'' he added.
As usual in India religious practices which have no basis take preceedence over anything factual or even remotely sceintific. The temples and others exploit the sentiments of illiterate undereducated people with no capacity to question everything. However courts who are supposed to blind and just, should expose these nonsensical practices and relieve people of this misery. Hindu dharma has never asked anyone to go to any temple or follow any superstition. Only cunning people are exploting others. Bhakthi is more important than going to temples and trying to wash away daily sins. When will people learn that. The more the corruption, the more the visits to temples to wash away the sins.
